Legal basis

Processing your IP address and approximate country when a page loads rests on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: serving a page without an IP address is technically impossible, and without the country we cannot send you to the right Amazon store. We pursue no interest beyond that.

Hosting and transfer outside the EU

This site is hosted by Railway Corporation (548 Market Street, PMB 68956, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States) and delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States). Both are established in the United States, so loading a page necessarily involves a transfer there. We keep and analyse no access logs of our own; where those providers retain logs for technical reasons, their own privacy policies apply.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no tracking pixels, and has no user accounts, comments or newsletter.

What our server sees

Two pages on this site are rendered per request rather than served as static files: the affiliate redirect and the live price lookup. Both read your approximate country — from a header our CDN provides, or failing that from your browser's language setting — so that we can send you to the right Amazon store in the right currency. That country is used to build the response and is not stored.

Like any web server, ours receives your IP address in order to reply to you. We do not log it to a database, build profiles, or share it.

What happens when you click through to Amazon

When you follow a "Check price" button you leave this site and Amazon's own privacy policy applies. Amazon sets a cookie that attributes any resulting purchase to us. We never see who you are, what you bought or what you paid — only an aggregate count of orders, weeks later.

Third parties

Fonts are served from this site's own domain, so your browser makes no request to any third party for them. Live prices are fetched by our server from a price-history service, not by your browser, so that service never sees you.

Your rights

Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The publisher is established in France, so that is the CNIL — Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France. If you live in another member state, you may equally approach the authority for your place of residence.
