The best all-in-one grooming kits for 2026

A kit is sold on the number of attachments and lived with on three of them. What separates a useful kit from a drawer of plastic is whether the attachments cover different jobs — beard, body, nose, detail edging — or the same job at four lengths. Every attachment shares one motor and one battery, and the stated runtime does not say which head it was measured with. We list what each attachment is for, the guard steps supplied, whether the head is rinsable, and what the kit is stored in, because a thirteen-piece set without a case is a set that loses pieces. The all-in-one kit guide ranks the models here, and two comparisons set them side by side: AIO3545 / MG3946 and AIO7565 / MG7962.

Choosing within all-in-one kits, by need

Covering every use

The number of available heights decides what the appliance can genuinely do: short beard, long beard, hair, body.

Braun AIO7565

One appliance that lasts the distance

A multigroomer is used more often than a dedicated trimmer. Runtime decides how often it is recharged.

Braun AIO7565

The smallest budget

An entry kit already covers beard, hair, nose and body. The lowest recorded price on the shelf; today's price sits beside it.

Philips MG3946/15

All-in-one kits and who each one is for

One appliance for everything
That is the format's entire argument: beard, hair, nose and body with one motor and several heads.
A single trimmer in the travel pouch
A multigroomer replaces three appliances in a wash bag. A real saving of space.
Specialized use
Each head does a little less well than a dedicated appliance. Anyone trimming a carefully kept beard daily will find its limits.

The trade-offs of all-in-one kits

One machine for beard, nose and neckline
Each head approaches without equalling the corresponding dedicated appliance. It is an accepted compromise, not a fault.
Number of heads against storage
An appliance with ten accessories needs a case and you always lose one. Models with few heads are simpler to live with.
Waterproofing against heads
Not every head is rinsable on an appliance nonetheless declared waterproof. It is a point to check head by head.

What keeps coming up about all-in-one kits

Does a multigroomer really replace several appliances?

For ordinary use, often. Each head does a little less well than the corresponding specialized appliance; anyone trimming a beard to the quarter-millimeter will prefer a dedicated beard trimmer.

How do I change heads?

Appliance off, pulling straight without forcing sideways. Bent heads no longer refit correctly.

Do all the heads go under water?

Not necessarily, even on an appliance declared waterproof. The manual specifies head by head.

Can I cut hair with it?

On a short, uniform cut, yes. The block is often narrower than a hair clipper's, which lengthens the work.

Should all the heads be oiled?

All heads with moving teeth, yes. Foil and precision-blade heads follow the maker's instructions.

How should the appliance be stored?

Heads separate in a case or a holder. A dirty head left fitted clogs and seizes.

Is runtime the same with every head?

No: heads that demand more effort use more. The advertised runtime generally corresponds to the most favorable configuration.

Can a multigroomer's heads be bought separately?

Not always, and it is a question to ask before buying: a broken head with no replacement available can take the device out of service.

In short, on all-in-one kits

A multigroomer does everything a little less well than a dedicated appliance, which is enough for most daily uses. Check head by head what goes under water, oil every head with moving teeth, and store them detached — a dirty head left in place seizes.
