An ear and nose trimmer with a dual cutting system, smooth outer blades Braun states minimize pulling, a fully washable head, and a compact body that runs on one AAA cell.
Where it leaves us The pocket version of this family: one AAA cell, no charger, and nothing it does not need.
A dual cutting system with what Braun describes as sharp blades and a strong motor, behind smooth outer blades the company calls SkinGentle and states minimize pulling.
The head is fully washable and the body is compact enough to live in a wash bag — which, on a tool used for a few seconds at a time, is most of the argument. One AAA cell is included.
It does nose and ears, and nothing else. No combs, no eyebrow head, no vacuum. What it does have is the simplest power arrangement on the shelf: one AAA cell, supplied, with no charger to pack and no battery to age.
Set against the shelf, the price asks a hard question. Twelve nose and ear trimmers are published here, from $10 upward, and ten of them cost $40 or less; at $51 this is the second dearest. For that it does two jobs, where the $40 Manscaped Pro and the $29 Dollar Shave Club each add heads and the Panasonic adds a vacuum. What this page has and almost none of the others do is a named skin-contact design — SkinGentle — and a head stated to be fully washable. Whether that is worth thirty-five dollars over a $16 trimmer is a question this page can frame and not settle, because none of the twelve publishes a cutting figure to set beside another.

What people ask about this
Is there any reason to choose this over the Philips?
Format, and what the extra attachments cost. This one is smaller and does nose and ears only; the Philips adds three combs and a detail trimmer for eyebrows and edges. On amazon.com they publish $51 and $68, so the attachments are a third more on top — and the choice is whether you want them or the smaller body.
What is SkinGentle?
Braun's name for the smooth outer blades, stated to allow gentle trimming that minimizes pulling and tugging. It is a description of the blade geometry, quoted here as the manufacturer publishes it.
