Only if you shave clean as well as trim — a trimmer holds a length and a shaver cuts at skin level, and a OneBlade-type tool sits in between.
The two are built for different jobs. A trimmer cuts to a length set by a comb or a wheel; a shaver cuts everything under the head at the surface.
If you keep a beard permanently and never go clean-shaven, a trimmer with a detail head covers the outlines and the shaver is redundant.
If you do both, three options: two tools, an all-in-one kit whose range starts low enough, or a OneBlade-type tool that shaves without a comb and trims with one.
Some all-in-one kits reach 0.1 mm (0.004 in) with a precision head, which is effectively bare skin. Others start at 3 mm (0.12 in) and cannot. That figure is the thing to check.
