They are sold together because they do different things in sequence. A blade that has run for months collects a paste of hair and sebum behind the teeth that oil will not shift; a blade that has been cleaned and not oiled runs hot and pulls. Either alone leaves half the job.

Is a cleaner the same as a cooling spray?

Does the cleaner replace oiling?
