The bottom line The same clipper as the 5000 with a better blade — worth the step up on thick hair and not otherwise.
Philips puts two things above the Series 5000 here: the DualCut blade, described as two-sided and claimed to cut twice as fast as a single-sided one, and Trim-n-Flow Pro, a comb designed to shed the hair it collects instead of packing it against the blade.
The rest is shared. The same 28-length wheel, the same corded or cordless operation. The battery figures are better: one hour to charge for up to 90 minutes of use.
This is also the only clipper in this lot on sale on all six markets we check, US included — a rarity in a category where the American catalogue and the European one barely overlap.

Philips describes it as a two-sided blade, and claims it trims twice as fast as a single-sided one. The comparison and the figure are the manufacturer's; the listing does not state how it was measured. What the specification does tell you is that the cutting element is different from the Series 5000, not just faster on paper.
On the German prices at the time of writing, 60 € against 35 €. The wheel and the length range are the same. What you pay for is the blade and the self-clearing comb, both of which matter on thick hair and neither of which changes anything on fine hair.
