The OneBlade cutting element on a 360-degree pivot, with three stubble combs at 1, 3 and 5 mm (0.20 in), a body comb and a skin guard. Rated for wet and dry use, and charged over USB-A — the adapter is not in the box.
Where it leaves us One tool that holds a short stubble and cleans the edge. Budget for the blades.
Philips states 12,000 cuts per minute on a cutting element that pivots through 360 degrees, with a dual protection system — a gliding coating and rounded tips — described in its own feature list.
The comb set is what makes this a beard tool rather than a shaver: 1, 3 and 5 mm (0.20 in) for the face, plus a 3 mm (0.12 in) click-on body comb and a skin guard for sensitive areas. Everything is rated for wet and dry use.
Two things to know before ordering. The blade is a consumable on this range, replaced when it stops cutting cleanly, and its price is not on the product page. And the box contains a USB-A cable but no wall adapter, so unless you already have one, that is a second thing to find.
Against the rest of the shelf, this is the odd one out by design. The two Brauns and the Remington all set their length on a wheel — 52, 40 and 17 positions respectively. The OneBlade has none: three combs at 1, 3 and 5 mm (0.20 in), and nothing between them. If you hold one stubble length, that is enough, and the blade pivoting through 360 degrees is the advantage you are paying for. If you move a half millimeter at a time, this is the wrong tool on this shelf. At $95 it is also the dearer of the only two beard trimmers here with a live offer — the Remington MB5000 is $55 — and the only one whose cutting element is a consumable. The other three are the Remington MB5000, the Braun BT5525 and the Braun BT9545, all on the beard trimmers shelf; can I use a phone charger covers the missing wall adapter, and the ProCase hard case lists the QP2824 under the /30 suffix.

The good points, and the rest
Strengths
The three combs sit at 1, 3 and 5 mm (0.20 in) — the part of the range a designer stubble actually lives in
A skin guard is supplied for the body, for sensitive areas
Rated for wet and dry use, so it works in the shower
Compromises
No wall adapter in the box, only a USB-A cable
The blade is a scheduled consumable on this range, and its cost is not on the product page
Specifications
Cutting element
OneBlade, 12,000 cuts per minute, per Philips
Blade movement
360 degrees, for constant skin contact
Face combs
Three, at 1, 3 and 5 mm (0.20 in)
Body kit
Click-on body comb at 3 mm (0.12 in) and a skin guard
Philips sells it as both, and the specification supports that: the same double-sided element shaves without a comb and trims with one. What it is not is a close shaver — it does not claim to cut at skin level the way a foil or a rotary does.
What does the 360-degree blade change?
Philips states the blade moves in every direction so it keeps constant skin contact, which the listing links to fewer passes over the same area. It is a manufacturer claim about the mechanism, quoted as such.
