Rowenta

The rotating hot air brush that promises to be repaired

Rowenta is on this site once, with the Brush Activ Premium Care rotating hot air brush.

What we found writing the reviews

Fifteen years of repairability, from 6,500 centers. Rowenta publishes it on the listing. It is an undertaking rather than a measurement, and it is unique in this catalog — no other manufacturer here says anything at all about repair.

Rotation in both directions. The two sides of a head are styled in opposite directions, and a brush that turns one way asks you to change your grip halfway or accept a different result on one side. Rowenta states both directions, and it is the only one of the ten hot air brushes here to do so. Only three of the ten publish barrel rotation at all: this one, the Remington AS8811, which states automatic rotation without naming a direction, and the Hot Tools brush, whose switch unlocks and turns the barrel by hand.

Two ceramic barrels, 50 and 40 mm, so volume and shape are both covered rather than one at the expense of the other.

The trade is the controls. Three settings that combine speed and temperature, where both Remington dryers here keep the two separate. At 1000 W on a rotating brush that is the honest compromise, and it is visible on the handle before you buy.
