Eight products, six of them stated 100% waterproof
Braun appears eight times on this site — a foil shaver, two all-in-one kits, two body groomers, two beard trimmers and a nose and ear trimmer.
Six of eight are stated 100% waterproof. Not splash-resistant, not “suitable for rinsing”: the same wording on the 3040s shaver, the AIO7565 kit, the BG3530 and BG5555 body groomers and the BT5525 and BT9545 beard trimmers. The other two are only called washable: the AIO3545 kit (trimming head) and the EN21 nose trimmer. Cleaning a shaver properly says what each wording allows.
The wheels lock. On the BT5525 and the BT9545 the precision wheel has a lock button, and on a wheel with forty or fifty-two positions, 0.5 and 0.25 mm apart, that is no luxury. A setting knocked two clicks mid-pass leaves a step you then chase around the whole beard; the comparison of the two puts a figure on the gap.

No charging time is published. Runtimes are given on the seven rechargeable models — the EN21 runs on a battery cell —, from 45 minutes on the entry shaver to 180 on the Series 9 trimmer. Charging times appear on none of them. It is the figure Braun consistently holds back.
