Remington is on this site ten times, across dryers, hot air brushes, straighteners, curling tools, clippers and beard trimmers. On the published prices it is the least expensive thing we cover in one of those families, the beard trimmers — and its listings publish more figures than most.
The numbers are there. The S3500 straightener publishes its plate length (110 mm), ten temperature settings with both ends of the range, a fifteen-second heat-up and a sixty-minute auto shut-off — four figures, on the cheapest straightener here that publishes any. The CI6325 curling tong adds worldwide voltage. Compare that with the ghd gold straightener on this site, which publishes none of the four and no price on amazon.com either.
Separate heat and speed controls on both dryers. It is the one design decision that changes what a dryer can do, because a combined dial cannot give high airflow at low heat. Remington puts two controls on both the D3198 and the AC9140B; the Grundig HD6080 separates them too.
The AC9140B is one of two dryers here that publishes an airflow figure. 93 miles an hour — 150 km/h — alongside 2400 W, against 68 miles an hour on the Philips BHD510. Airflow is what dries hair; the D3198 / AC9140B comparison says what the step up is worth.
Two claims to read as claims. OPTIheat and the 90%-more-ions figure are both footnoted to Remington’s own laboratory testing, without published conditions. They are reported on the pages as the manufacturer states them.
